This is a notable climb - Tour de Pologne riders can earn points towards the mountain classification here. The first half has a very good surface, but later on (just before the second steepest part) it gets considerably worse. On a hot day, trees provide much-needed cover and the air is always cool and humid here. During summer holidays and on weekends expect quite significant car traffic, but it is quiet in the off-season. I like the experience of leaving the busy Kazimierz Dolny and arriving to the climb via a gently rising road. Don't miss it if you're around!
