Exmoor has a spectacular coast with steep cliffs and lots of greenery, this is one of the rare climbs where you can see that. Although you cycle a lot between high bushes, you see occasional glimpses of the blue sea. It is a very narrow road, but I only came across three cars's on the whole climb. Ascent rate is nowhere consistent but doable, asphalt good enough. Absolutely recommended, especially in combination with the Valley of Rocks that lies just east of it.
