It starts fairly easy (I didn't even realise I was on it!) but soon kicks up hard as you round a corner and can see the road go up into the trees just after the pub. The road surface is poor in places at the bottom with a lot of potholes however, as the gradient goes up so does the quality of the surface into some lovely flat tarmac.
