This is a fairly popular climb starting from Bobbio in Val Trebbia. It is also great to descend since the road is in good condition.
After the bridge the first section of ascent towards Coli, with quite a few hairpin turns. On your right you can catch a glimpse of SS45 in the narrow bottom of the Trebbia valley. The gradients are OK and you can keep a good pace.
In Coli you can refill your water bottles at the fountain. After that the climb continues gently in a winding road alongside the rocky walls of the mountain. Pretty good views of the valley and surrounding mountains from up here.
After Baratti there is a fairly steep section with +10% parts . This is the final push to get to the Sella.
From here plenty of options: you can descend back from where you came, or continue to Passo S.Barbara (very close) and pick one of the alternative descents back into Val Trebbia (but the road condition is not great), or continue and descend in Val Nure to Farini.
