Road in excellent condition; fairly busy with cars and motorbikes.
The climb to the Schliffkopf is a long one from Oppenau (22km). The gradients are irregular, with several flat areas.
From a sporting point of view, this climb is less interesting than the northern slope (from Ottenhöffen), which has much steeper gradients in the first part.
The final part of the climb takes place on the busy B500.
