I haven't been to this corner of South Limburg very often and had the impression it was a bit milder in this area. On this climb, I had to do some serious climbing, because it is quite steep halfway. Through the small tunnel and then left, the climb starts, but I had to be careful when I turned left, as I found it unclear, so I started the climb with little speed. Couldn't do the whole climb, because of a roadblock (you also see those signs) but that was only the last 50 metres and you can walk past it.
Ik ben nog niet zo vaak in deze hoek van Zuid-Limburg geweest en had het idee dat het iets milder was in dit gebied. Op dit klimmetje moest ik toch ff serieus aan de bak,want het is toch ff lekker steil halverwege. Door het tunneltje heen en dan linksaf begint de klim,wel goed opletten bij het afslaan,ik vond het onoverzichtelijk waardoor ik met weinig snelheid aan de klim begon. Kon de klim niet helemaal doen,vanwege een wegopbreking(die borden kom je ook tegen)maar dat was alleen de laatste 50 meter en je kan er langs lopen.

Het net zo zware tweelingbroertje cq -zusje van de Snijdersberg. Vanuit het dorp ga je voor deze klim onder het spoor door en dan rechtsaf. Het stijgingspercentage loopt vervolgens al vlot op naar dubbele cijfers. Pas bij de eerste huizen links en rechts van de weg gaat het afvlakken.
Quite a dirty little climb (and so tasty). Before and just after the tunnel under the railroad it climbs nicely but after that the road bounces up... And it keeps doing that just a bit too long. Spicy. The end of the climb seems to be at the white houses (where you ride through) but then follows some false flat so really relaxing the legs is not possible. Beautiful green surroundings and good road surface.
Best wel een vies klimmetje (en dus lekker). Voor en net na de tunnel onder het spoor klimt hij gewoon lekker maar daarna knalt de weg omhoog... en dat blijft hij nét even te lang doen. Pittig. Het eind van de klim lijkt bij de witte huizen (waar je tussendoor rijdt) te zijn maar daarna volgt nog even vals plat dus echt de benen ontspannen is er nog niet bij. Mooie groene omgeving en prima wegdek.
