Surprisingly tough climb because of its length. Wind against does not help either. Nice road and also beautiful landscape.... read more

Partly because of its length, this is one of the nicer climbs around Noorbeek. From the Bovenstraat, you get to tackle the first 200 metres straight away. This is followed by a longer stretch of false flat where, after the last houses, you have a nice view of the surrounding area to the left and right. After the junction with Kwakhaag it gets a bit steeper again before flattening out to false flat. Upon entering the Dutch part of Ulvend, you are at the top.

When riding up to the start of this climb, you already make some altitude metres (from both sides). The climb itself starts nicely because the steepest part is in the beginning. Then it levels off and you come through the nice hamlet Schey. Further on, it creeps up again with next to a farm another steeper part in between. After that, it is out cycling with a chance of wind until you arrive in Ulvend. Regularly beautiful views and good tarmac.

The climb starts very steep but levels off after the hamlet Schey and continues for a long time. After Schey it becomes more false flat but can be a bit disappointing because of the headwind between the meadows. After this at Ulvend descend to Sint-Martens-Voeren and then up at the Plank makes it a nice round.

Schey me out say Himmelsbla. Was the same again today. Beautiful half-timbered houses after the steeper part and enjoy on the open plane.

Schey me uit zeg Himmelsbla.
