This is a fantastic, tester of a climb with amazing views of Jackson Bridge and the surrounding area and a gradient that never let's up. It is generally a quiet road with an ok road surface that has broken up in parts. There are a couple of really steep sections and a lovely hairpin to experience. Justvwhen you think you're done there's also a lovely kicker up to the top by the farmhouse! The views from here over Holmfirth and surrounding area are great to rest and take in.

If doing this in the summer, then be mindful of the sap falling from the trees as that will cause the road to be slippy. The road is also narrow and you may encounter some light traffic. It's a beautiful climb worth doing.
