The ascent to Saucelle is situated in the Salamanca region of Las Arribes, bordering with Portugal. The ascent starts from the old hydroelectric power plant (today rural accommodation called Aldeaduero) to the vicinity of the village of Saucelle is a climb where we are going to find very hard ramps, up to 12% just in the area of the dam. From there on it is a climb with a certain hardness but affordable for any cyclist.
The ascent will make you stop at several viewpoints in the area, from where you can see the Saucelle reservoir, the dam itself and the waterfall, and unbeatable views of Aldeaduero, the Duero river and Portugal, on the other side of the river.
