A demanding climb, especially if tackled from the junction for Monteggiori, which is located shortly after the town of Pietrasanta on the Sarzanese provincial road, proceeding towards Camaiore. Alternatively, the climb can be tackled starting from Camaiore, but the climb remains challenging overall. At the top of the climb, a poignant reminder of the victims of the Nazi-Fascist massacre of 1944.
