Climb from Carlazzo with two faces. The first kilometres go up at 6-8%, then a descent and again several kilometres up at the same percentages. Then another descent follows. After you pass a turn-off you come to the last 2km. Then the percentages go up and you climb by 10-11% with stretches of 13/14%. There are even outliers to the 21% according to my Garmin. The descent on the other side is also steep from the top; then narrow and untidy so descend carefully.

Nice climb, through a few villages and the forest and occasionally a beautiful view of Lake Lugano. In the climb two small descents. Road surface is fine, traffic generally little. It is very nice to combine as a round trip with the 'Passo della Cava'.
