What a gem! Both the scenery and the sporting challenge make this a great climb. As a highlight, just before the top of the climb to the Hermitage of Saint-Walfroy, as you drive up at 15+ ％ you also get the Stations of the Cross depicted in stone stations. Personally definitely one of the most beautiful climbs in the region, 5 stars! So it should definitely not be missed on a tour of the region.
Wat een pareltje! Zowel het landschap als de sportieve uitdaging maken dit een geweldige klim. Als hoogtepunt krijg je vlak voor de top van de klim naar het Hermitage van Saint-Walfroy, terwijl je aan 15+ ％ omhoog rijdt, ook nog eens de kruisweg in stenen staties uitgebeeld. Persoonlijk absoluut één van de fraaiste beklimmingen in de regio, 5 sterren! Deze mag dan ook zeker niet ontbreken bij een rondje door de streek.
A small jewel hidden in the hills of the southern Ardennes. The landscape and the setting of the climb - especially the last 500 metres - are as bucolic as they are terrible to climb. One might wonder to whom the Stations of the Cross along this route are dedicated. Nevertheless, once at the top, the unobstructed view of the roads makes all the effort worthwhile.
Petit joyau caché dans les reliefs du sud des Ardennes. Le paysage et le cadre de la monté -tout particulièrement ses 500 derniers mètres- sont aussi bucoliques qu'ils sont terribles à gravir. On irait à se demander à qui est dédié le chemin de croix longeant cette route. Néanmoins, une fois au sommet, la vue dégagée sur les routes donne raison à tant d'efforts.
