If you are in Namur and have had the citadel, this is the steepest climb. The start is resurfaced, with embarrassingly large, and many, white bikes painted on the tarmac. Then a good bit through suburbs and then through farmland. Nice to test if you can still make it to the 12％, with two descents in between to recover.
Als je in Namen bent en de citadel hebt gehad, is dit de steilste klim. Het begin is opnieuw geasfalteerd, met genante grote, en veel, witte fietsen op het asfalt geschilderd. Daarna een flink eind door buitenwijken en daarna door het boerenland. Leuk om te testen of je de 12％ nog haalt, met twee afdalingen tussendoor om bij te komen.
First part of the climb is on tarmac with potholes through a residential area where, with some bad luck, you have to give way to the right a few times. The climb gets steeper and bit nicer running through fields. All in all, a not very memorable climb. If you want to discover the most beautiful/difficult part of the region, I would turn to more southern clappers.
Eerste deel van de klim loopt over asfalt met putten door een woonwijk waar je met enige pech enkele keren voorrang aan rechts dient te verlenen. De klim wordt steiler en stukje mooier door de velden lopend. Al met al een weinig memorabele klim. Indien je het mooiste/lastigste van de streek wilt ontdekken zou ik me wenden tot zuidelijker gelegen kleppers.
1st piece of bad tarmac then ok. did it 3 times today to gain altimeters... cursed every time on difficult middle piece.
1ste stukje slecht asfalt daarna ok. Vandaag 3 keer gedaan om hoogtemeters op te doen.. telkens gevloekt op lastig middenstuk..
