I did this climb as part of a reconnaissance of the Herbeumont hill climb.
This climb also starts with a wall and then is fairly regular all the way to the top. The road is in very poor condition and is narrow. The end of the climb is in the woods.
J'ai fait cette montée dans le cadre d'une reconnaissance de la course de côtes d'Herbeumont.
Cette montée commence aussi par un mur puis est plutôt régulière jusqu'au sommet. La route est en très mauvais état et est étroite. La fin de la montée se situe dans les bois
Tough climb because immediately from the village it is 100 metres enormously steep over very poor road surface. Then you get a very short rest until the turning where it gets harder again. The long spur eventually drains the last bit of energy from the legs. Fortunately, it is very nice cycling around here, so still looking a bit further than a few metres in front of your wheel is recommended!
Zware klim omdat het vanuit het dorp meteen 100 meter enorm steil is over zeer slecht wegdek. Daarna krijg je heel even rust tot aan het bochtenwerk waar het opnieuw moeilijker wordt. De lange uitloper haalt uiteindelijk het laatste beetje energie uit de benen. Het is hier gelukkig heel mooi om rond te fietsen, dus toch wat verder dan een paar meter voor je wiel kijken valt aan te raden!
