My favourite climb, for its environment and its cobbles ( good )
a fairly regular %, a must if you are passing through the city, plus it's the final climb of the pro race.
A tough and fairly long cobblestone climb that unfortunately is also driven up by many vehicles. The cobblestones are ok and the steepness doesn't have to hurt, provided you use the right dosage. Nice views over the city of Namur and the option for fast descents on the other side of the citadel.
I really recommend this. The cobblestones ride better than many asphalt roads in Belgium ... The views are great and the loop where you first go through the gate and then over it is of course unequalled. Really a wonderful climb that you can also just quietly drive up to enjoy. Through the Avenue Jean 1er you can also descend on smooth asphalt!
mythical climb" with a beautiful road (sometimes cobbled but very good quality. Nice passage with a small bridge. Nice view on the Meuse and the Sambre.
One of my favorite hills in the country... if you don't hit too much traffic. On a nice day, the cars's can get a little annoying.
Ridden in the Tour de Namur, actually an indispensable climb if you visit the center of Namur. Beautiful views and not too bad cobblestones. Busy with traffic though.
The climb has a beautiful view on Namur and climbs very gradually over cobblestones that are in a very good condition.
This is the closest 4th category climb near me (still 60k though) so I do this climb a few times a year.
Although there are cobbles it isn't very difficult, the cobbles aren't to bad and it isn't steep anywhere, the only thing u should remember that there are a few points that look like u are at the heighest point, but only if are on a very large square u are really on the top of the climb! U should also notice that alot of cars and motorbikes go up it and that there are a few events each year that close down the climb.
