Nice climb. At the bottom of the climb it's pretty steep, but higher up it flattens out a bit. It doesn't always have to hurt your calves. Tip for the descent: At a certain moment you come to a crossroad. The shortest route up to Vieuxville is to the right, but you should take the left side (keep following Route de Sy, actually). It may be a kilometer longer, but the descent is so much better. The road on the right is much more dangerous, because you can't see what's coming from behind the curve in a street that's much too narrow for both a bike and a car.
Leuke klim. Onderaan de klim is het redelijk steil, maar hoger bergop vlakt het wat af. Het hoeft niet altijd pijn te doen in de kuiten, hé. Tip voor de afdaling: Je komt op een bepaald moment op een tweespalt. De kortste route tot in Vieuxville is rechts, maar kies toch voor de linkse kant (Route de Sy blijven volgen, eigenlijk). Dat is misschien een kilometer langer, maar qua afdaling zoveel aangenamer. De weg rechts is veel gevaarlijker, omdat je niet ziet wat er vanachter de bocht komt in een veel te smalle straat voor én een fiets én een auto.

De mooiste van de 2 klimmen vanuit Sy die hier beschreven worden, maar sowieso is het dorpje zelf zeker een aanrader! Een oase van rust aan het water + gezellig terras voor een koffiestop.
