Intense! 2km of effort. It's a steep, twisting climb. Yes, a real zigzagging wall. The bike was loaded, so I had a bit of a hard time of it. But that's why you climb. To test yourself on serious gradients, it's perfect! At the top there's nothing but forest and views of the Valensole plateau.... read more

What a climb! After jamming the chain in the crankset and finding a nearby cycling shop that kindly helped us out, we made it up the climb. But not in the best conditions. We'll have to do it again, but it's a tough one!

Starts hard and gets harder. Definitely worth including as a loop of the lake.
It's quite well shaded and not very busy. We rode it in June after swimming in the lake. It was hot but the trees really helped.

Intense ! 2km d’efforts.

Wall of Moustiers de st. marie...killing.
Don't forget to drink before the climb.
It's often so hot there that throats stick together.

One hell. For the well-trained cyclist with a good mountain gear. It's a short climb with lots of turns of 2 km, but every metre is tough. Once you reach the top, a gentle descent follows over the plateau to St Croix, where you can continue the route around the lake. A lap around the lake is about 56 km.
