The climb is out of Rethymno is immediately steep, with winding roads in between the houses up until the National road underpass. At this stage, a couple of switchbacks will then open up to a great panoramic view of the town and the Fortezza. The road also improves at this point, and keeps climbing steadily until the village of Mikra Anogeia, where it levels out while coasting the gorges. A beautiful climb from the seaside to Roussospiti. The climb is out of Rethymno is immediately steep, with winding roads in between the houses up until the National road underpass.
