This is a nice climb if you are in the area. Not busy, nice gradually upwards and lots of nature. On top you have a beautiful view of the surroundings.
And to Sybe: I met the bus. A double long one and it drives fast!
Dit is een leuk klimmetje als je in de buurt bent. Niet druk, mooi geleidelijk omhoog en veel natuur. Bovenop heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving.
En aan Sybe: ik kwam de bus tegen. Een dubbellange en hij rijdt hard!
Nice climb which is easy to reach from East-Twente. It is actually always quiet, except for a lost hiker. The climb starts out nice, when the road turns right it flattens out a bit, maybe it even slopes a bit. I'm always surprised to see a bus stop here, you don't expect a bus on this road, and I never saw one. After the chicane on the right it gets a bit steeper, just enough to squeeze your legs if you started at full throttle. Once at the top, you have a nice view of the surroundings, all the way to Schöppingerberg. The stretch after the chicane was very bad until 2019, but in 2020 a nice new carpet of asphalt has been put on there as well.
Lekker klimmetje wat vanuit Oost-Twente goed te bereiken is. Het is er eigenlijk altijd rustig, op een verdwaalde wandelaar na. Klimmetje begint lekker, als de weg naar rechts draait vlakt het wat af, loopt het misschien zelfs iets af. Ik verbaas me hier altijd dat daar een bushalte is, je verwacht echt geen bus op deze weg, en ben ik ook nooit tegengekomen. Na de chicane rechtsaf wordt het nog even wat steiler, net genoeg om je benen af te knijpen als je vol gas bent begonnen. Eenmaal boven heb je een mooi uitzicht over de omgeving, tot aan Schöppingerberg aan toe. Het stuk na de chicane was tot 2019 erg slecht, maar in 2020 is daar ook een mooi nieuw tapijtje asfalt op gekomen.
