This is the alternative to the Koppenberg. And it is a worthy alternative, in the sense that the Koppenberg is nice to try once in a while but for a training ride this one is better. You cycle up quite steeply anyway, winding a bit with the Koppenberg to your left. When you get to the Gite you get a great view. If you combine this one with Elsstraat or Kortekeer, you have enough difficulty without the extreme difficulty of the Koppenberg.
Dit is het alternatief voor de Koppenberg. En het is een waardig alternatief, in de zin dat de Koppenberg wel eens leuk is om eens te proberen maar voor een trainingsritje is deze dan weer beter. Je fietst toch vrij steil omhoog, beetje kronkelend met de Koppenberg links van je. Als je aan de Gite komt krijg je een prachtig uitzicht. Als je deze combineert samen met de Elsstraat of de Kortekeer Heb je toch voldoende moeilijkheidsgraad zonder de extreme moeilijkheid van de Koppenberg
Rotelenberg is a very nice mountain that is not that difficult. The mountain starts out false flat and then you go up a bit steeper but it is not super difficult. The location of the climb is very good because after the rotelenberg you can go straight on to the short turn.
De rotelenberg is een heel mooie berg die niet zo moeilijk is. De berg begint vals plat en dan ga je wat steiler omhoog maar dat is niet super lastig. De ligging van de klim is heel goed want na de rotelenberg kan je direct doorgaan naar de kortekeer.
Nice, quiet climb that you can take if you are in front of the Koppenberg and don't feel like it that day. When you reach the top, you have a beautiful view of the landscape between Oudenaarde and Kluisbergen.
Leuke, rustige klim die kan nemen als je voor de Koppenberg staat en er toch geen zin in hebt die dag. Wanneer je boven komt heb je een mooi uitzicht over het landschap tussen Oudenaarde en Kluisbergen.
