Nice climb. Largely modest gradients, but beware you go down before climbing again from Santa Cruz side. Not much traffic, and drivers respectful of cyclists.
No water/drink stops en route; be sure to bring what you need. Descent less fun, as road condition mediocre in sections (Nov.2024)

A very long climb that takes you from sea level to the highest point on the island. The ascent can be very tiring, as it is over 40 kilometres. You pass through all kinds of vegetation. Beware, there are no petrol stations or bars on the entire climb. So take enough to drink with you. (I speak from experience)

Man durchquert sämtliche Vegetationen.
