The climb can be started all the way down by the lake, to gain 200 meters more. I started at Ekkjestølen power station for a flat warm-up. When joining the E134 I turned in right on Håra road, following that up through four hair-pins before reaching the start-point on the registrered route.
12 km distance and 686 m ascent.
Beautiful view from the top of the ski resort!
The mid-section can be tricky on days with heavy traffic. Big semi-trucks passing you in hair-pins can be scary. Choose day and time wisely! Last part on tourist road with light traffic is nice.
