Up to the car park the climb has some very steep sections, especially 600 metres at 15% very hard between kilometres 3 and 4 approximately. After that it doesn't get as steep and there is some "rest", but it's still a tough climb, more suitable for MTB (especially if you come back down the same road).
There is more traffic than I expected, but it is still light.
The views towards Lachen and Lake Zurich are excellent and change with every turn. At every turn you come across horse, cow and goat farms and towards the end you enter a beautiful spruce forest (I think).
The road is fine up to the car park. Once you pass the car park it becomes a cracked concrete road with some asphalt sections.
In theory you can continue for 500 metres on a gravel road, which is not too complicated, and link up with Sattelegg, whose descent to Siebnen, especially from Vorderthal onwards, is much more enjoyable. However, I didn't get to check this junction.
