From the valley of the Wurm you ride through beautiful surroundings and past castle Rimburg to the climb. Before the railroad crossing it goes up already but the part after is a lot steeper. The subsequent descent is not really noticed or is only very sporadic, after which it climbs again. The climb continues further than indicated, about halfway between the forest and Hofstadt.
The surroundings are very beautiful with farmlands and nice forests. The asphalt is fine.
Currently (August 2021) the railway crossing is closed. This one is (illegally so when people are working it can be difficult) accessible on foot.
vanuit het dal van de Wurm rijd je door een fraaie omgeving en langs kasteel Rimburg aan op de klim. Voor de spoorwegovergang gaat het al omhoog maar het stuk er na is een stuk steiler. De daaropvolgende daling is niet echt opgemerkt of is slechts heel sporadisch, daarna gaat het wel weer goed klimmen. De klim loopt verder door dan aangegeven, ongeveer tot halverwege tussen het bos en Hofstadt.
De omgeving is erg fraai met landerijen en mooi bos. Het asfalt is prima.
Momenteel (augustus 2021) is de spoorwegovergang afgesloten. Deze is wel (illegaal dus als er mensen werken kan het lastig worden) te voet begaanbaar.
