Nice little hump, typical of the Brabantse Wal. You can see it from afar if you come from the Scheldt-Rhine Canal. Too bad about those rotten cobblestones with some bumps in them, that's why it doesn't run at all.
Leuk bultje, typisch voor de Brabantse Wal. Je kan het al van ver zien liggen als je van het Schelde-Rijnkanaal komt. Spijtig van die rotklinkertjes met wat bulten in, daardoor loopt het voor geen meter.
Coming from the polder, the road rises slightly before you reach the signposted section. Turn left shortly after the start and then keep following the road. Sign 5％ is nice, of course. Just before the end on the left is a viewpoint with distant views.
Vanuit de polder komend stijgt de weg al enigszins voor je bij het aangegeven traject bent. Kort na het begin linksaf en dan steeds de weg volgen. Bordje 5％ is wel leuk natuurlijk. Vlak voor het eind aan de linkerkant een uitzichtpunt met ver uitzicht.
The Rijzendeweg is the epicentre,
the reference of the series of climbs of the Brabantse Wal. It is one of the three toughest in the area - although 'tough' is a very relative term for the Wal. Coming from the polder, from the café at the bottom of the corner, it is trying to find out how you can reasonably maintain your speed up to the top of the wall.
It is the best known with a wide view on top towards the Oosterschelde.
Not the most beautiful. In the woods in the direction of Bergen op Zoom and Ossendrecht there are more beautiful, sheltered climbs.
De Rijzendeweg is het epicentrum,
de referentie van de reeks klimmetjes van de Brabantse Wal. Hoort bij de drie zwaarste van de omgeving - al is 'zwaar' een zeer relatief begrip voor de Wal. Komend uit de polder, vanaf het café beneden op de hoek is het uitproberen hoe je je snelheid redelijk kunt vasthouden tot boven op de wal.
Hij is de bekendste met bovenop een wijds uitzicht richting de Oosterschelde.
Niet de mooiste. In de bossen richting Bergen op Zoom en Ossendrecht liggen fraaiere, beschutte klimmetjes.
