For a long time, this climb does not represent much. Through a sort of valley, you ride up a narrow and fairly straight road at no more than 4 per cent. But you keep seeing the ridge in front of you that you have to cross and know, the hardest part is yet to come. In the last 300/400 metres it gets quite steep for a while. There the road has some faint curves so you can't quite gauge how long you have to keep up your effort. Overall, this is a bit like a Limburg climb.
Lange tijd stelt deze klim niet veel voor. Door een soort dal rijd je met hooguit 4 procent over een smalle en vrij rechte weg naar boven. Maar je blijft de richel voor je zien die je over moet en weet, het zwaarste moet nog komen. In de laatste 300/400 meter wordt het even flink steil. Daar heeft de weg wat flauwe bochten waardoor je niet helemaal kunt overzien hoelang je je inspanning nog vol moet houden. Over het algemeen heeft dit wel wat weg van een Limburgse klim.
