This is a vicious, gruelling climb and that is what makes it fun. Until you get to a crash barrier and have to turn onto the main road, then the fun stops.
Dit is een gemene, slopende klim en dat maakt hem nou net leuk. Tot je aan een vangrail komt en de doorgaande weg op moet, dan is de aardigheid eraf.
The first part is the toughest and the most beautiful. That is also the only part where you really have the impression that you are cycling in a gorge. The rest of the climb is less, and especially the part over the big track is not beautiful anymore.
Het eerste stukje is het zwaarst en het mooist. Dat is ook het enige stuk dat je echt de indruk hebt dat je in een kloof aan het fietsen bent. De rest van de klim is minder, en zeker het stuk over de grote baan is niet meer mooi.
Always a nice thing to do. Good alternative for La Redoute. Although this one is also pretty tough, especially the first half. Once you get to the main road it flattens out a bit.
Altijd een leuke om te doen. Goed alternatief voor La Redoute. Al is deze ook best pittig, zeker de eerste helft. Eens je op de grote weg komt vlakt ie wat uit.
