Taken from Maastricht in the direction of Valkenburg to do the famous Cauberg, of course, it's a climb without much more to say. It's not particularly worth the diversions, but that doesn't mean it's not worth taking.

A climb over a concrete cycle path along a provincial road that was not very busy, by the way. In the beginning long false flat and then two steeper parts right after each other. Then it is off to the roundabout at the top. A few sharp bends in the road break up the route somewhat. Quite a dull climb which feels extra long because of that. Elsewhere, this one could be more appreciated but with so many other climbs including especially the Kuitenberg just north of this one, there are nicer alternatives. Nice to descend by the way, where you also have a view of Maastricht.
Een klim over een betonfietspad langs een provinciale weg die niet heel erg druk was overigens. In het begin lang vals plat en daarna twee steilere stukken vlak achter elkaar. Daarna is het uitfietsen tot de rotonde op de top. Enkele flauwe bochten in de weg breekt het traject enigszins. Best een saaie klim die daardoor extra lang aanvoelt. Elders zou deze wel wat meer waardering kunnen krijgen maar met zoveel andere klimmen waaronder vooral de Kuitenberg pal ten noorden van deze zijn er fraaiere alternatieven. Wel lekker om af te dalen overigens waarbij je ook nog zicht op Maastricht hebt.

But a deadly boring climb, although the last part can make you very sour.
At the top at the roundabout you can go left and then right around the corner is a good restaurant / bicycle stop.

Maar een dood saaie klim al hoewel het laatste stuk je nog flink kan verzuren.
Bovenaan bij de rotonde kun je links gaan en dan rechts om de hoek ligt een goed eetcafe/fietsstop

Landschappelijk fraai fietspad van Maastricht naar Berg. Niet moeilijk, wel lang voor Limburgse begrippen.
A very boring road to go up. There are plenty of alternatives to get to Berg en Terblijt.
Een kei saaie weg om naar boven te gaan. Er zijn alternatieven genoeg om in Berg en Terblijt te komen.
Quite a nice road. Almost at the top it gets a little steeper, but for the rest it is an easy mountain. Rather a nice road to descend.
Best een mooie weg. Bijna bovenaan word het heel even ietsje steiler, maar voor de rest is het een makkelijke berg. Eerder een leuke weg om af te dalen.
