The first half of the climb is the same as the one leading to Griesalp. After Kiental, there is a short descent on the right that leads to the bridge near the chairlift departure point. Here begins the second part of the climb, which is often irregular, with some challenging sections (especially the first 500 m) and others that are easier to ride.
