This climb is an absolute must if you are in the area anyway and like it short and very crisp.

Recently cycled all-out up the Pyramidenkogel while on holiday. It is fortunately not that long (4km) but very irregular with a tough last few hundred metres. Road surface is good and the turns reasonably clear.

Recent all-out de Pyramidenkogel opgefietst tijdens vakantie.

The Pyramid ball towers high above the Wortersee, if you've been in the neighborhood you wouldn't know it.
Was it formerly a concrete colossus, since about 5 years there is a new wooden tower arose.
You can go up by elevator and down by slide or even abseil!
The climb is tough, because of its limited length it is easy to handle, you start out steep but then you disappear into the woods and you can drive on, if you turn right you may push for a kilometer, you're over half and there is a piece of flat to recover. I once had an apartment at this point and believe me after 3 times up just go with the car the rest of the holiday ...
But the top is still far and you dive back into the woods, bend after bend you get closer and when you think you're there the last piece bites you in your calves.
Nowadays I ride 1 or 2 times every 3 weeks before breakfast to the Pyramidenkogel, stomp to the top and then blow out with a great view and a fresh wind. The descent is wonderful and when I get home the sandwich tastes even better.
