Pym Chair is a must if your a climber. It’s steep. It’s tough. This route from Hooleyhay Lane to Jenkins is a good alternative to the bank lane start. The descent down Hooleyhay is fast and the stretch up to Jenkins isn’t too long or steep. Avg 10% or so. Turning right From Jenkins Chapel it quickly reaches 15% avg, offering you a quick breather about half way up, then it quickly puts you back in the thick of it with 15-20% avg gradients until your reach the summit. Pym Chair is a must if your a climber. It’s steep. It’s tough. This route from Hooleyhay Lane to Jenkins is a good alternative to the bank lane start. Feels like 25%! Not easy at all for the average cyclist but to be sought out if you fancy a challenge.
