You can already see it from afar. Seems steeper from afar than it actually is. You can perfectly choose to brave the cobbles or play it safe and take the cycle path.
Al van in de verte zie je hem liggen. Lijkt van ver steiler dan hij effectief is. Je kan perfect kiezen om de kasseien te trotseren of op veilig te spelen en het fietspad te nemen.
They say real Flandriens ride over cobblestones. Not on this road. When I rode there, it was quite busy so the cycle path was the only option. Only the last 100m I saw the possibility to taste the cobblestones.
echte flandriens rijden over kasseien zeggen ze. Niet op deze weg. Toen ik er reed was het flink druk waardoor het fietspad de enige optie was. Alleen de laatste 100m zag ik de mogelijkheid om de kasseien te proeven.
If the morale is already low, not ideal. You see it immediately completely lie incl steep piece at the end add wind and it is raking.
Als de moraal al laag staat, niet ideaal. Je ziet m onmiddellijk volledig liggen incl steil stuk op het einde doe daar nog wind tegen bij en het wordt harken.
After a descent you can already see it in the distance. The first part starts quietly and steadily the climbing percentage goes up. You can see the steepest part in front of you now. Hopefully you haven't given it your all because the last part of the cobbles is the worst.
Na een afdaling kan je hem al zien liggen in de verte. Het eerste stuk begint rustig en gestaag gaat het klimpercentage omhoog. Je kan het steilste stuk voor jou zien liggen nu. Hopelijk heb je nog niet alles gegeven want het laatste stuk kasseien is het ergst.
Nice, short climb. The cobblestones are in perfect condition, but if you want to avoid them, you can also ride on the bike path next to the road.
Toffe, korte klim. De kasseien liggen er perfect bij, maar wie ze toch wil mijden kan ook op het fietspad naast de weg rijden.
