I would recommend doing the climb from Zalea or Alozaina first and after the descent take a rest, turn your bike around and then start the climb. The first part of the road from El Burgo to the climb is in very bad condition. The ascent itself is beautiful. Beautiful views all the time, no traffic and a good road surface. Ik zou aanraden om eerst de beklimming vanaf Zalea of Alozaina te doen en na de afdaling even te rusten, je fiets om te draaien en dan de beklimming aan te vatten. Het eerste stuk wegdek vanaf El Burgo naar de beklimming is namelijk in heel slechte staat. De beklimming zelf is geweldig mooi. Steeds mooie uitzichten, geen verkeer en goed wegdek. Als er wind is kan het wel tegenvallen, die zit meestal tegen. Ook is er nergens een schaduwplekje tot je op de top bent.
