Don't start immediately in the red, is my tip. You think you're almost there, turn left around the mountain and then comes the last steep stretch. Perfect tarmac, no one in sight. Lovely. And the reward is beautiful too, you ride into the famous valley (where, unfortunately, a big forest fire destroyed all the pines in 2023).
Begin niet meteen in het rood, is mijn tip. Je denkt dat je er bijna bent, draait linksom de berg rond en dan komt het laatste steile stuk. Perfect asfalt, niemand te bekennen. Heerlijk. En de beloning is ook mooi, je rijdt de bekende vallei in (waar helaas een grote bosbrand in 2023 alle dennenbomen verwoest heeft).
This Puerto itself is pretty short but if you're coming from Gorga or Castell de Castells, this is still a pretty punchy end. Narrow, remote road with good tarmac and not a car to be seen.
Deze Puerto zelf is vrij kort maar als je uit Gorga of Castell de Castells komt is dit nog een vrij pittig einde. Smal, afgelegen weggetje met goed asfalt en geen auto te bespeuren.
