Nice long climb from the coast. The first 7 km towards Sayalonga are a bit busier in terms of traffic, after Sayalonga it gets quieter and easier. Piece of descent towards Archez (with brand new asphalt, 2025) and then starts the 'Muro de Archez', two intense kilometres with the last km at an average of more than 13%
Like the climb towards Corumbela, the start is fairly busy, but very doable after Algarrobo. You climb up the first 12 km relatively gently. Once from the junction, the short descent and the left/right combination over the bridge, it suddenly gets considerably steeper for 2km.
In between, you can take the pressure off your legs for a while due to a flat stretch, but after that it doesn't get below 10% and the barren surroundings make it seem even steeper. However, the views of the idyllic white villages are still great.
If you keep following the road and cycling through, you will pass through a very beautiful part of Andalusia, so the round trip is definitely worth it.
