The Puerto de la Morcuera is a climb of unprecedented beauty. If you are in the area you should not miss it. The climb is long but not too hard. The road surface is the type of asphalt we cyclists love: pitch black without splits. Every kilometre there is a sign with the upcoming percentages, a number of hairpins and beautiful views make this climb a true feast of pleasure (also depending on how hard you pedal of course). Agree with Jeroen - great scenery, great road surface, little traffic. I'd say significantly easier than Morcuera from Miraflores, because just when maybe you are starting really to struggle it eases off. Last 3 k soft. Good tortilla de patatas at Meson Maito in Miraflores after, and they'll put ice in you bidon.

Every kilometre there is a sign with the upcoming percentages, a number of hairpins and beautiful views make this climb a true feast of pleasure (also depending on how hard you pedal of course). The climb is not too difficult, the toughest kilometers are at the beginning. I didn't see much traffic, although I did meet some fellow cyclists. The descent at the Miraflores side is also very good, 70 in the hour is doable. A must-do this climb!
