Beautiful climb, despite the fact that we left in thick fog in Campomanes. Close to the summit, fortunately, it cleared up a bit, allowing us to enjoy stunning views. Didn't encounter any traffic along the way! Highly recommended, also because of the gentle climbing percentage, which is almost exceptional in this region!
Prachtige klim, ondanks het feit dat wij in de dikke mist in Campomanes vertrokken. Dichtbij de top klaarde het gelukkig wat op, waardoor we van een prachtig uitzicht konden genieten. Onderweg geen verkeer tegengekomen! Een absolute aanrader, ook vanwege het gemoedelijke klimpercentage, dat in deze regio welhaast uitzonderlijk is!
The Galibier of the Asturias'. From Campomanes the first kilometers go steadily uphill towards the last villages. Once past the last village the unspoiled, wild world opens up. Along the steep mountain side you cycle up through a beautiful environment. This is nature in its most pure form. The wild cows, horses and even dogs complete the picture. At the top you can continue as paved for a while to shoot some amazing pictures. One to frame!
'De Galibier van de Asturias'. Vanuit Campomanes gaan de eerste kilometers gestaag bergop richting de laatste dorpjes. Eens voorbij het laatste dorpje gaat de ongerepte, wilde wereld open. Langs de steile bergflank fiets je omhoog door een prachtige omgeving. Dit is de natuur in zijn meeste pure vorm. De wilde koeien, paarden en zelfs honden maken het plaatje helemaal af. Op de top kan je nog even verhard verder om enkele waanzinnige plaatjes te schieten. Eentje om in te lijsten!
