Nice gradual climb, with beautiful scenery. Good new asphalt, last 3 km the road is a bit less but doable. Little traffic, did encounter several cyclists and mountain bikers.
Leuke geleidelijk klim, met mooie omgeving. Goed nieuwe asfalt, laatse 3 km is de weg iets minder maar goed te doen. Weinig verkeer, wel verschillende wielrenners en mountainbikers tegen gekomen.
Nice climb with a pleasant gradient. The road with excellent tarmac creeps up along the valley of Vicar. The descent on the north side offers fantastic views of the bone-dry Tabernas desert.
Tips:
1) Be aware that it can get uncomfortably hot on the lower flanks in summer, so do this climb in the morning.
2) Although there is practically no traffic, you have to be careful because of the combination of sharp turns and a narrow road.
Mooie klim met een aangename hellingshoek. De weg met uitstekend asfalt kruipt omhoog langs het dal van Vicar. In de afdaling aan de Noordzijde heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op de kurkdroge Tabernaswoestijn.
Tips:
1) Let op dat het op de lagere flanken onaangenaam warm kan worden in de zomer, dus doe deze klim in de ochtend.
2) Hoewel er praktisch geen verkeer is, moet je toch uitkijken door de combinatie van scherpe bochten en een smalle weg.
