Een mooie doorsteker om daarna via de Meerwijkselaan verder te fietsen. De klim loopt over klinkerwegen door een leuke woonwijk en een bos, met tussendoor het poortgebouw als leuke extra.
Nice climb with as extra the gate that you cycle through. The special thing is that this gate is simply part of a (unique) house. If you don't know this, you wouldn't notice it immediately. If you want to start this climb from the Nijmegen track, you have to go through a narrow bike path to get to the right lane. The climb itself is quite nice, the street itself is nice and quiet and there are some steeper parts in it (for Nijmegen standards). It is much nicer to drive here than via the Nijmeegsebaan, especially if you want to go to the Meerwijkselaan, because that is where this street ends.
Leuk klimmetje met als extra toevoeging de poort waar je doorheen fietst. Het bijzondere is dat deze poort gewoonweg onderdeel is van een (unieke woning). Als je dit niet weet, zou dit niet direct opvallen. Als je deze klim vanaf de Nijmeegse baan wilt starten, moet je door een smal fietspadje om bij de rechterslaan te komen. De klim zelf is best leuk, de straat zelf is lekker rustig en er zitten wat steilere stukjes in (voor Nijmeegse begrippen). Sowieso is dit veel leuker om te rijden dan via de Nijmeegsebaan, en al helemaal als je naar de Meerwijkselaan wilt want daar komt deze straat uit.
Even though it has a bit more climbing points, I find this climb the easier alternative to the Oeselenberg. It saves a turn and a steep bend at the end. This one you just cycle straight on. Very nice to climb through a gatehouse though.
Ook al heeft ie iets meer klimpunten, ik vind deze klim het makkelijkere alternatief voor de Oeselenberg. Het scheelt een bocht en een steile knik aan het eind. Deze fiets je gewoon rechtdoor. Wel erg leuk om door een poortgebouw te klimmen.
