I did recognise the area because the Eddy Merckx route passes nearby.
The Pottelberg is located in a very quiet street. You won't encounter much traffic here. The first few hundred metres also offer nice views of surrounding fields. Road consists of concrete slabs that do lay fairly well.
After the few gentle bends, you see the road rising a bit in the distance. You think to downshift a bit, but that is not at all necessary here. If you have good legs, you can even change gears bigger here. So not a tough slope at all.
The slope gets 4 stars from me because of the peace you experience there. Also quiet roads after the top.

De Pottelberg is gelegen in een heel rustig straatje. Veel verkeer zal je hier niet tegenkomen. De eerste honderden meters ook mooie uitzichten op omliggende velden. Weg bestaat uit betonplaten die wel redelijk goed liggen.
Na de enkele flauwe bochten zie je de weg in de verte wat stijgen. Je denkt om wat kleiner te schakelen, maar dat is hier helemaal niet nodig. Als je goede benen hebt, kan je hier zelfs groter schakelen. Dus helemaal geen zware helling.
De helling krijgt van mij 4 sterren door de rust die je er ondervindt. Ook rustige wegjes na de top.
