Nice stretch across the Veluwe with fairly heavy traffic. Horeca at Halte Assel and plenty in Hoog Soeren. Bike path is not compulsory.
Mooi stukje over de Veluwe met vrij veel verkeer. Horeca bij Halte Assel en volop in Hoog Soeren. Fietspad is niet verplicht.
Relaxed climb in beautiful surroundings and on a nice winding bike path. The bike path can be very busy in good weather, so the road is an option.
Relaxte klim in een prachtige omgeving en over een mooi slingerend fietspad. Het fietspad kan met mooi weer wel erg druk zijn, dan is de weg een optie.
Beautiful climb, anyway this area in terms of beauty can compete with the Veluwezoom for me. The 'real'climb begins for me when you have the unpaved parking lot on the right side. It is then still about 800 meters to the game grid, where the Strava segment Col du Haut Sorna ends, and a mile to the point that you really start descending. This was always one of the highlights (pun intended) of my training round Radio Kootwijk-Assel-Hoog Soeren-Apeldoorn.
Prachtige klim, sowieso kan deze omgeving zich qua schoonheid meten met de Veluwezoom wat mij betreft. De 'echte' klim begint wat mij betreft pas als je aan de rechterkant de onverharde parkeerplaats hebt. Het is dan nog zo'n 800 meter naar het wildrooster, waar het Strava-segment Col du Haut Sorna eindigt, en een kleine kilometer naar het punt dat je weer echt gaat dalen. Dit was altijd een van de hoogtepunten (pun intended) van mijn trainingsrondje Radio Kootwijk-Assel-Hoog Soeren-Apeldoorn.
Nice climb, not heavy, certainly beautiful. Cycling on the road I didn't ask my fellow cyclists, but they silently agreed ;-)
Leuke klim, niet zwaar, zeker mooi. Op de weg fietsen heb ik niet aan mijn mede-wielrenners gevraagd, maar daar waren zij het zwijgend over eens ;-)
One of the most beautiful roads in the Veluwe. Beautifully curved, through beautiful moorland, you climb first quietly and then more steeply to Hoog Soeren. There is a cycle path next to the road, but that is not recommended, on the road it is quiet enough and you are less bothered by tourist cyclists. This road is on the list of many motorcyclists, although it is always civilized.
Een van de mooiste weggetjes op de Veluwe. Mooi bochtig, door schitterend heidelandschap, klim je eerst rustig en daarna iets pittiger, naar Hoog Soeren. Er ligt een fietspad naast, maar dat is niet aan te raden, op de weg is het rustig genoeg en ben je de toeristische fietsers minder tot last. Dit weggetje staat wel op de lijstjes van veel motorrijders, al blijft het eigenlijk altijd wel beschaafd.
