This climb is nice if you want to get away from the flat Dender trail towards the Pajottenland. From the water, it rises directly to a fairly even gradient. You ride the whole climb between houses but at times you have beautiful views of the Dender Valley. Once you reach the first summit, you can catch your breath for a while before crossing the final steep kink. This is over faster than you think, after a few pedal strokes you are at the top. Nice to climb the Bovenkassei after this climb and then the congoberg, this way you get a good number of altimeters in a short time.

The climb is completely between the buildings of Pollare, but once you get to the top, you are surrounded by meadows. If you want to go for a good time: when you think you're at the top, you have to change gears and take a left turn because there is a nasty bit more to come.
