The very first time I did this climb was in 1989. Having just finished high school, I went on a cycling holiday with four friends, so we rode up with touring bikes and about 15 kilos of luggage. We already had the climb from Wilwerwiltz to Merkholz in our legs, so man how we looked off towards Nocher. We then did the climb several times on the road bike and it's actually not that bad. We then did the climb several times on the road bike and it's actually not that bad. After crossing road 25, it is a nice little road along a stream uphill with lots of shade on the road. The moment you leave the forest, you see Nocher houses above you and realise you're almost there already.
Nice little climb and little to no traffic.
