Taken in totality, it's a good climb. The first part of the climb up to Pitchcott village is a drag, but then you're into the twisty flat section before pushing for the top at Oving, and it's that second half that turns this climb from "just a bit of a drag" into something worth doing. Taken in totality, it's a good climb. The first part of the climb up to Pitchcott village is a drag, but then you're into the twisty flat section before pushing for the top at Oving, and it's that second half that turns this climb from "just a bit of a drag" into something worth doing. You get some views too, and even more so in descent.

A climb to get around Aylesbury. It’s typically quite busy, so not the most pleasant, but still better than going through the town. Some nice views over to the Chilterns but a pretty poor surface in the run up, even if the climb is okay.
