Fixe climb, nice viewpoints. Constant pressure on the pedals. I thought I'll do it but was tough

Fixe klim, mooi uitzichtpunten.

For me, this is the nicest of the 3 sides of the Pillerhöhe (I also cycled up the northern side; I only descended the southern side (Prutz)).
This is a pretty steep climb, but fairly regular, on a quiet, narrow road. At the top you should definitely go to the lookout point (see photo)!

Pillerhöhe is a challenging ascent. For this type of climbing, we recommend mountain gearing, specifically a compact system. This means a small front chainring of 34 teeth, combined with a rear cassette where, depending on your level, strength, and experience, you choose a sprocket with 30, 32, or even 34 teeth. Remember that a smooth cadence is always more efficient!
