Short and intense, in short. The gradients are deadly throughout and offer little respite. The tarmac is generally in good condition, making for a climb in good conditions. The scenery is beautiful, but not the grandest you can get in this region.... read more

This short climb starts when you turn right just outside Cortina, in the hamlet Gilardon, the main Dolomites road SS48 towards Passo Falzarego. (Signposted chairlift Piè Tofana).
From the exit it is irregularly steep uphill through several hairpin bends through the dense pine forests with hardly any population. The last kilometer is murderous with double figures. Dead end road stops at restaurant Piè Tofane and the valley station of the same name chair lift towards hiking & skiing area of the Tofana massif.
There was little to no traffic in the summer.

Ideal short powerful climb to the "Tre Cime " feeling in the legs already experienced!!!
