Although I tackled this mountain pass towards the end – as I wasn’t coming from Salas – it’s still a pass I’d 100 per cent recommend and one you simply mustn’t miss, especially now they’ve tarmacked the final stretch, as they wanted it to be the stage finish for the Vuelta.
