The steep version of the climb from santa cruz to the island's highlands. The views are less scenic than the standard version. The climb is recommended for those who like very steep climbs. From the 10% warning sign, the road climbs straight up and you curse that sign. The percentages go well over 20%. After it flattens out a bit comes another shorter steep section before you turn back onto the road of the standard climb.
