This is one of my favorite gravel bike rides as I prefer to use the Sentiero Rusca to travel from Sondrio to Valmalenco. There are many switchbacks and fantastic alpine views. There is enough sunshine on the roads to keep them clear through late autumn and early spring.

Salita da non sottovalutare a causa della sua lunghezza, la pendenza è sempre comunque contenuta anche se dopo Chiesa con già una dozzina di km sulle gambe è difficile spingere sul tratto di 4-5 km più pendente. A Chiareggio ci sono hotel e ristoranti dove rifocillarsi mentre lungo il percorso si incontrano 3-4 fontane. Fino a Chiesa c'è anche una ciclabile dove pero le pendenze sono più irregolari. Durante il week-end il traffico aumenta parecchio.
