The actual climb starts in Faedo and is just over two kilometres long. The first section between Crosara di Fontanafredda and Faedo bassa is pure warm-up.
Some stretches rise above 10%, but overall it is a rideable climb with a few rest sections and a wide, well-paved road. The sun exposure during the summer period should not be underestimated.
If you turn right at the end of the climb (Passo del Roverello), you will reach Monte Gallo, near the Dalla Teresa restaurant, with beautiful panoramic views.
If, on the other hand, you turn left, again from the Roverello pass, you go towards Roccolo, from the less demanding, southern slope.

Start is quiet, almost flat. At the end, it is a bit steep along the vineyards. I like this side better than via Galzignano Terme. Parts with new asphalt. Nice view of the vineyards once you reach the top. There is a picnic area just beyond the top where you can take a breather. Good to combine with an ascent on the other side.

Start is rustig, bijna vlak.
